Arrival at Glasgow International Airport 
 
Glasgow International Airport (http://www.glasgowairport.co.uk/) is 15 minutes drive by direct motorway link from the city centre with daily flights throughout the UK, to Europe and North America.
 
Bus Services from Glasgow International Airport to Glasgow City Centre
 
Scottish CityLink operates an airport-city centre shuttle bus from outside the terminal building.  Drop off points include Central and Queen Street railway stations.  Tickets cost from £3.50 single & £5.00 return, journey time is approx. 25 minutes.  http://www.citylink.co.uk

First Bus operates 2 services from the airport:
 
747 service to Glasgow Airport – Braehead - Xscape - City Centre
 
757 service to Glasgow Airport – SECC - City Centre

Taxis are available from the taxi rank outside the terminal building.  Taxi drivers should meter the entire journey, although longer distance journey prices may be negotiated with the driver.  The fare from the airport to Glasgow city centre is approximately £15-£20 depending on traffic and drop off point.
 
Arrival at Glasgow Prestwick Airport
 
Glasgow Prestwick Airport  (http://www.gpia.co.uk/) is south west of the city and is a 40 minute direct train link from Glasgow City Centre.
 
There is a rail link to Glasgow Central Station with trains operating every 30 minutes (hourly on a Sunday). Journey time is 44 minutes.  The service is operated in conjunction with FirstScotrail, times are available on their website - http://www.firstgroup.com/scotrail/index.php  If your conference organiser has purchased a delegate transport pass on your behalf, this journey is covered by the pass.
 
Out with the hours of public transport a bus service is operated by the airport. 
If you need an early morning transfer from Glasgow city centre a bus is available from Glasgow Buchanan Bus Station at 04:45 prompt to meet early morning flights.
 
In the evening, a service is provided between the airport and Glasgow city centre leaving the airport at 23:45 going directly to Glasgow Buchanan Bus Station.
